a Poem by Renee Joy

Oh, weary shattered worker

So tired from this day.

So worn from all your striving,

I fear you've lost your way.

Tis not your Lord's intention

For your hands and heart to be,

Beaten down and battered

Like the waves upon the sea.

Come rest before your Shepherd

Lay down your goals and plans.

And find renewed refreshment

In your Savior’s loving hands.

This work you’ve called a ministry

You’ve tried to bear alone.

But can’t you see that life in Christ

Is more than what you’ve known?

Sit down awhile and look upon

He you work so hard to serve.

He’s born the Cross and bears for all

The scars that we deserve.

Does not He have the right to choose

Just how His work is done?

For is He not Creator God

And Lord of everyone?

So, stop your toils and return now

To His beloved rest.

For as you do, you'll find for you

His love, His peace, His best.

Jesus said,  “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”  Matthew 11:28-30 (The Message)

A Fire is Breaking Out in America!

A great revival is happening across America and the fire of the Holy Spirit is spreading it like a wildfire and lighting up the dark days we are in! Praise You Jesus!

Are you feeling exiled?

In the book of Jeremiah 29, we read of the story when some of the Israelites were taken captive to the land of Babylon by King Nebuchadnezzar. The background of this story is that God punished the Israelites because of their disobedience. He allowed them to be exiled in Babylon while their country lie in ruins.

In His Image

We are a spirit, with a soul, housed in a body. Our bodies are a temple where the Holy Spirit and soul resides. A house is nothing but an outer frame made of wood and steel until a person moves in to give it life, personality, and purpose. Without the spirit and soul, our bodies are lifeless shells with no meaning

Releasing What Holds Us Captive: A Sibling's Story of Love, Surrender and God's Grace

The smell of the urine is all around. My chest feels so heavy, and my eyes are beginning to sting. Where did this lump in my throat come from? Why God? Why take a beautiful person and reduce him to this? Loss of bodily functions, can’t remember any details of his life, stuck in a depressing old nursing home full of even more depressing people.
